These Terms govern your use of the TeamTrip app and website (teamtrip.cc, app.teamtrip.cc), a collaborative travel planner made and operated by an individual developer — "TeamTrip", "we" and "us" below mean that person. Plain language, no dark patterns — but they are binding.
1. Acceptance
Creating an account or using TeamTrip means you accept these Terms. We record the acceptance together with the version of these Terms and a timestamp, so we can show what you agreed to and when. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to consent to the processing of your data under the law that applies to you — that age is between 13 and 16 depending on your country — or have a parent's or guardian's consent. If you create an account, you confirm you meet this requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone below that age, we will close it and delete the data.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in credentials safe and don't share your account. You are responsible for what happens through your account, and the information you give us should be accurate. Accounts are personal — one per person.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use TeamTrip to break the law or other people's rights. Concretely: no unlawful, harmful or infringing content; no spam or harassment of other members; no scraping, probing or overloading the service; no attempts to access data that isn't yours or your trip's.
If you believe content on TeamTrip is unlawful or infringes your rights (for example, copyright), email legal@teamtrip.cc with enough detail for us to find it. We will review and remove content where appropriate, and we will close the accounts of repeat infringers.
5. Your content
Everything you put into a trip — itineraries, photos, expenses, documents, messages — stays yours. "Stays yours" means we do not claim ownership of it, we do not sell it, and we do not publish it beyond the people you share the trip with.
To run the service we need a limited licence: permission to store, copy (including backups), transmit and display your content to you and to the trip members you invite, and to process it to power features like offline sync and map/route rendering. That licence is only for operating TeamTrip, and it ends when you delete the content or your account — apart from short-lived backups that clear on their normal schedule.
You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload and share with your group, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
6. Third-party services and affiliate links
TeamTrip links to third-party services (maps, booking sites, travel search). Some booking links are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. Those sites are run by their providers, and their own terms and privacy policies apply there.
7. AI-generated content
Itineraries, suggestions and summaries produced by the AI assistant can be wrong, incomplete or outdated. Always double-check the essentials before you rely on them: bookings, visa requirements, prices, opening times, transport and travel restrictions. AI output is a starting point for your planning, not professional advice.
8. Availability and warranties
TeamTrip is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We work hard to keep it available — including offline — but we don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and features may change as the product evolves.
TeamTrip is currently free to use. If we add paid features, we will show the price and the payment, renewal, cancellation and refund terms clearly before you buy anything.
9. Travel is your responsibility
TeamTrip is a planning tool. We are not a travel agency, and we do not provide travel, booking, medical, safety, visa or legal advice. Travel carries risk. You are responsible for your own decisions and for your own safety, and for verifying — with the official source — everything the app shows you: bookings and reservations, prices, opening hours, transport, entry and visa requirements, and health or safety conditions. Your use of any third-party service you reach from TeamTrip is between you and that provider.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data (you should keep your own copies of anything important), lost profits, missed bookings, missed transport or missed travel. Our total liability for all claims relating to TeamTrip is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — TeamTrip is currently free, so this may be nothing — or (b) 50 euros.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. In particular, we do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us exclude — and, if you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the mandatory rights the law of your country gives you.
11. Indemnity
If your content or your use of TeamTrip breaks the law or these Terms and a third party brings a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim. This does not apply to claims caused by our own fault or breach, and if you are a consumer it applies only to the extent the law allows.
12. Ending the service relationship
You can stop using TeamTrip at any time. To delete your account, email privacy@teamtrip.cc — self-serve deletion is not available in the app yet — and we will delete your account and your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the law, with notice where practical — except where we need to act immediately to protect the service or other people.
13. Changes to these terms
When we make a material change to these Terms, we will re-present them in the app and ask you to accept the new version before it applies to you. Smaller changes take effect when the updated version is published; the version and date at the top always show what's current.
14. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about TeamTrip, and replace anything said before. Not enforcing a term one time doesn't mean we've given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to someone else; we may transfer ours if the project changes hands. These Terms are governed by French law, and disputes will be handled by the courts there. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
