The sunset sundowner is a highlight — your tracker sets up a table with drinks and snacks right in the middle of the bush as the sky turns orange.

A special farewell dinner at the lodge — often a private candlelit dinner on your deck or in the wine cellar. After dinner, some lodges offer a short night drive with a spotlight to see chameleons, nightjars, and perhaps a leopard on the prowl. Take time to sit by the fire and reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters before the final day.

One last early morning game drive — the grand finale. Your ranger will try to show you anything you might have missed — perhaps track a black rhino or find a cheetah on the hunt. The morning light is perfect for photography. This is when you truly appreciate the rhythm of the bush. Stop for a final coffee in the wild before heading back.

Hearty breakfast at the lodge after the morning drive. Say goodbye to the ranger and tracker who made your safari unforgettable. Buy any last souvenirs at the lodge shop — locally made crafts, safari-themed clothing, or signed wildlife photography prints. Check out and transfer to the airport.
